Online candidate briefing – 3/3/2026 (Tuesday), 12pm
Club and society candidate briefing – 3/3/2026 (Tuesday), 5pm
Manifestos due – 4/3/2026 (Wednesday), 12pm
Candidates revealed/start of campaigning - 5/3/2026 (Thursday), 10am
Candidate media day – 5/3/2026 (Thursday), 10am (Officer Trustee candidates only)
Candidate roadshow – 6/3/2026 (Friday), 11am (Officer Trustee, Constituent Union, Liberation & Community, and senior representative candidates only)
Voting open - 9/3/2026 (Monday), 10am
Voting close - 12/3/2026 (Thursday), 2pm
Complaints deadline 12/3/2026 (Thursday), 5pm
Candidate spend declaration deadline – 12/3/2026 (Thursday), 5pm
Results night – 13/03/2026 (Friday), 6pm, Metric in ICU Building

Full-time, paid positions (you will need to take a year out of your study, or once you have finished your studies, to undertake these):
- Officer Trustees
- ICSMSU President
Part-time, voluntary positions (do this alongside your study):
- Constituent Union Presidents
- Union Council Chair
- Student Trustees
- Liberation and Community Network positions
- Constituent Union Academic Officers
- Constituent Union Wellbeing Officers
- Academic and Wellbeing Departmental Representatives
- Other Constituent Unions Committee positions
- Clubs and Societies Committee positions
How do you stand for nomination?
Using a simple online process on the Elections voting website using your University login and choosing which position you would like to stand for. Nominate here - https://vote.union.ic.ac.uk
Once the nomination period closes, there will be a period in which campaigning is not permitted - candidates should review the Candidate Pack and other training material on our website.
