This stage is where the Annual Budgeting Committee allocate grant funding. You shouldn't need to do anything at this stage, but please keep an eye on your emails in case the committee need to get in contact with you for clarifications.
How do we award grant?

Annual Budgeting Principles - Key document
When awarding funding, the Annual Budgeting Committee follows four general funding principles to discuss budgets, grant requests, and appeals. There is a limited amount of funding that can be distributed so CSPs may not receive their full grant request. These principles guide the committee in distributing funding fairly. In order, they are:
Need - Funding allocated based on a CSP needing the funds to run Core Activity.
Reach - Funding allocated based on the number of Imperial students reached.
Merit - Funding allocated based on it providing a unique aspect of the student experience.
Context - Funding allocated based on the wider context of ICU’s constitutional aims, and strategy.
The Annual Budgeting Committee
The Annual Budgeting Committee is comprised of a combination of Officer Trustees and Union Staff.
The committee is chaired by the Deputy President (Clubs & Societies), who you can contact if you have any questions about the committee itself.
If you have a general question about budgeting please get in touch with the Activities Team.
All meetings of the committee will be minuted, and summary minutes will be published online. Additionally, detailed information will be commented on all budgets to ensure transparency.
Budget Queries
The committee may query your budget back to you while reviewing it. This will give you the opportunity to make edits to your budget, like adding further description for items or amending values. This can occur until the review stage ends.
It is important to respond to email notifications about queries promptly, to ensure that your budget is as high quality as possible.
When responding to queries it is often useful to check the action log, to see what has been done to your budget and why. You can view it on your main budget page by clicking "View action log".
Tracking Progress
On your budgeting main page, you will be able to follow the progress of your budget. You can also view it in further detail by selecting 'View action log' under Actions.
