Scope and size of your election

The scope and size of any election you are running in depends on the role you are standing for. In any case, elections are bigger than you think so relying just on your friends for votes does not mean you will automatically win an election.

Particularly for Constituent Union and full time Officer roles, you will need to engage more people than the biggest club, society, hall, department, or specific student population.

So, you should start this election by understanding the role of being a committed and responsible student leader and representative, in which you proactively seek input and engagement from a broad range of students. Ultimately, if you win your election, that is what you will need to continue to do and not just engage with people who voted for you.
